Match Report Press Report

Wykeham Exiles 2 Beat Winchester 3 in a close match.

With the home team having higher Gradings in 2 of the strings, the match was always going to be in their favour. This turned out to be the case with a Home win.

On paper, the number 3 string should have been the closest, with only 14 ranking points separating the two players before the match. Home advantage prevailed though, with Andrew Durnford winning through.

It was the number 3 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 90 Points ! Victory finally going to the Home Player, Andrew Durnford.

Player of the match must be the Away number 1 string, Mike Catling, who over-turned a 2566 ranking points disadvantage to record a great win.
